Las doce de la ma\u00f1ana<\/h3>\n

Surge en un momento determinado una duda en clase: las doce de la
\nma\u00f1ana, \u00bfser\u00e1 mediod\u00eda o medianoche? Hay argumentos para las
\ndos hip\u00f3tesis, porque las doce pueden terminar la ma\u00f1ana como pueden empezarla. El diccionario de la RAE menciona bajo la
\nentrada \u00abma\u00f1ana\u00bb<\/p>\n

Espacio de tiempo desde la medianoche hasta el mediod\u00eda. A las dos de la ma\u00f1ana.<\/i>
\n(RAE 2002a)<\/p>\n

Lo que deja abiertas las dos posibilidades. El Diccionario de dudas no menciona mediod\u00eda, medianoche, doce ni ma\u00f1ana. Tampoco
\nSeco (1990) nos aclara al sujeto. Es el momento de verificar el uso en internet.<\/p>\n

Entramos \u00ablas doce de la ma\u00f1ana\u00bb en el programa Copernic para averiguar cu\u00e1ntas veces \u00ablas doce de la ma\u00f1ana\u00bb se refiere a mediod\u00eda (12:00) y a medianoche (0:00). En las tablas que siguen s\u00f3lo recogimos los casos en los que el contexto indica claramente
\nde qu\u00e9 de los dos momentos se trata.<\/p>\n

Del conjunto de los datos recogidos, el 74 % se refiere a las 12:00, el 11 % a las 0:00 y en el 15 % de los casos la determinaci\u00f3n ha sido imposible. Si no se cuentan estos \u00faltimos casos, en el 87 % de los casos se refiere a las 12:00 y el 13 % a las 0:00.<\/p>\n

Aconsejamos entonces de reservar la expresi\u00f3n las doce de la ma\u00f1ana<\/i> para las 12:00, siempre que se ponga alg\u00fan
\n\u00edndice suplementario para aclarar la referencia temporal.<\/p>\n

La tarde<\/h3>\n

Pero \u00bfhasta cuando se dice la tarde<\/i>? El Diccionario de Real Academia nos dice:<\/p>\n

Las seis de la madrugada<\/h2>\n

Una pregunta relacionada es la que se refiere a la diferencia entre madrugada<\/i>
\ny ma\u00f1ana<\/i>. El Diccionario de la Academia (RAE 2002a)
\nnos da tres definiciones:<\/p>\n

1. amanecer.
\n2. f. Tiempo posterior a la medianoche y anterior al amanecer.
\n3. f. Acci\u00f3n de madrugar.<\/p>\n

Pero \u00bfhasta cu\u00e1ndo se usa madrugada<\/i> y
\ndesde cu\u00e1ndo se empieza a usar ma\u00f1ana<\/i>? Para saberlo, entramos
\n\u00abde la madrugada\u00bb y \u00abde la ma\u00f1ana \u00aben el programa de b\u00fasqueda de Copernic.
