Freshmeat stelt een nieuwe versie van PatientOS ter beschikking:

PatientOS is an electronic medical record system (PMS and EHR or EMR) for a physician or clinics. It is designed to be expanded into a healthcare information system for a hospital. It is a distributed clinical system.

Nieuw in deze 0.86 versie (nog steeds beta):

This release provides a wealth of bugfixes for the patient chart and numerous enhancements to the build and configuration tools.

The project intends to test various ides about the area of personal health information. Health information can be tagged or classified by using the open nursing classification Clinical Care Classification (CCC) version 2.0 (Copyright SabaCare Inc.). Maybe in the future there will be support for a plugin capability for different classification systems. The project uses the ADO .NET entity framework/LINQ for database access. The user interface is based on WPF and the report mode shows the health entries like a blog. The annotation feature of WPF is used to tag health information. The solution now runs entirely on SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP 1 RTM (available in source code).
