Maar als innoverend leerkracht wil je zeer zeker ook een blik werpen op de rubriek Social networking waar leuke en belangrijke dingen zitten die je zeker eens kan in overweging nemen (Elgg, Dolphin en andere community software).
V. Mijn hosting bedrijf (SiteGround) heeft een nieuwe installer, Softaculous. Wat zijn de verschillen met de vorige, Fantastico?
A. Fantastico is een heel degelijke webapplicatie-installer. Per rubriek krijg je een aantal webapplicaties waaruit je kan kiezen, en na enkele kliks is die geïnstalleerd op je server en heb je een login. Verder je krijg je een overzicht van de webapplicaties die moeten geüpdatet worden.
Softaculous is ook een heel eenvoudige en heel krachtige installer. Het verschil zit hem er in dat de rubrieken beter gestoffeerd zijn met veel meer webapplicaties per rubriek (rode zone op de illustratie), en dat je meer informatie krijgt over elk van die webapplicaties (de groene zone op de illustratie).
